Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must apply through the NTS website (www.nts.org.pk).
- In-House Induction Quota: GEPCO employees with at least 2 years (Regular/Contract) service can apply for Junior Engineer (Electrical)/SDO positions.
- Age Limit:
- General age relaxation is already included.
- Scheduled castes and Buddhists are allowed 3 years age relaxation.
- Disabled persons are eligible for a maximum of 10 years age relaxation.
- Government/WAPDA/DISCOS employees:
- 43 years for BPS-17 posts.
- 40 years for Commercial Assistant, Line Superintendent (Grade-I & II).
- Domicile:
- Candidates applying for Commercial Assistant and Line Superintendent must have domicile from the following districts:
- Gujranwala
- Hafizabad
- Gujrat
- Mandi Bahauddin
- Sialkot
- Narowal
- Wazirabad
- Candidates applying for Commercial Assistant and Line Superintendent must have domicile from the following districts:
- Qualification:
- Candidates must have completed requisite qualifications with final transcripts issued on or before the application submission date.
- PEC registration is mandatory for Junior Engineer (Electrical)/SDO.
- Other Requirements:
- Original documents must be presented during the interview.
- Candidates must submit test fees via approved methods (1Link 1Bill, ATM, Internet Banking, etc.).
- No test fees will be charged for disabled candidates.
- Disqualification:
- Misrepresentation of facts.
- Employees with a criminal record or those dismissed from previous employment are ineligible.
Number of Vacancies
- GEPCO reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of posts at any stage based on their requirements.
INSTRUCTIONS & GENERAL CONDITIONS
- In-House induction quota for GEPCO employees having two years (Regular / Contract) service, prescribed qualification and criteria meant for direct induction, subject to the condition that they will appear in induction examination for the post of Junior Engineers (Electrical)/SDO, only for Sr. 01.
- General age relaxation has already been included in the age mentioned against each category. No further age relaxation is allowed in the prescribed age limit except for candidates belonging to scheduled castes and Buddhists are allowed 3 years relaxation. Upper age limit is relaxable upto a maximum of 10 years of disabled persons.
- Government Servants / WAPDA / DISCOS employees who have completed two years continuous Government / WAPDA / DISCOS service on the closing date for receipt of applications, age limit is permissible upto 43-years for posts of BPS-17 (Sr. 1 & 2) and 40-years for the posts of Commercial Assistant, Line Superintendent (Grade-I) & Line Superintendent (Grade-II), only for Sr. 3, 4 & 5.
- All quotas (where applicable) will be observed as per GEPCO Recruitment policy.
- Candidates who are applying for the posts of Sr. 1 & 2 shall be eligible to apply all over the Pakistan basis.
- Candidates who are applying for the post of Commercial Assistant, Line Superintendent (Grade-I) & Line Superintendent (Grade-II) shall be eligible to apply on having domicile of Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Sialkot, Narowal & Wazirabad districts only (Sr. 3, 4 & 5).
- Candidates who don’t have PEC Registration are not eligible to apply for the post of Junior Engineers (Electrical)/SDO at Sr. 01.
- Only qualified / eligible candidates will be allowed to appear in the Written Test. Only shortlisted candidates falling within merit as per the provisions of applicable Recruitment Policy, will be called for Interview.
- Candidates will be recruited / appointed on Contract with Lump Sum Pay Package initially for a period of three (03) years, extendable on satisfactory performance and the services of these contractual appointees will not be regularized in future at any stage.
- The candidates possessing Result Cards/Transcripts mentioning CGPA evaluation must acquire their Result Cards/Transcripts with marks in percentage (%age) from their respective Institutions / Universities recognized by HEC before applying.
- Computer knowledge (including MS Office, Excel, Windows, Internet & e-mail etc.) will be an additional advantage for the candidates.
- Serving candidates who are in Government Service are advised to apply through proper channel. At the time of the interview, candidates must provide a departmental No Objection Certificate (NOC) wherein the date of appointment and the nature of their employment (e.g., Regular, Contract, etc.) should be clearly described.
- Candidates, if selected, will be required to perform duties within the jurisdiction of GEPCO.
- No TA/DA will be admissible to candidates for Test / Interview.
- Candidates applying against Disabled Quota must attach NADRA CNIC for Disabled Persons & Disability Certificate from Assessment Board for Disabled Persons, such person will be considered for appointment subject to suitability. The candidates must clearly mention the Nature of Disability while applying online so as to arrange particular arrangements for different assessment/phases as required. The candidates must have been declared as “Fit to Work” by the concerned Assessment Board for the Disabled Persons/City/District/Provincial Council for Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons.
- Only those candidates who completed their requisite Qualifications are eligible to apply i.e. candidates to whom final transcript, degree, domicile and other certificates have not been issued, as on last date of submission of applications, shall not be considered. Further, candidates awaiting their result are ineligible to apply.
- Incomplete applications or applications containing incorrect information or received after due date shall not be entertained.
- Late submission of applications by courier service will have no binding upon GEPCO and M/S National Testing Service (NTS).
- Original documents along with one set of attested photocopies must be presented by the candidate at the time of interview/joining of service.
- Candidates may contact M/S National Testing Service (NTS) for any query/enquiry regarding written test, display of provisional & final list of candidates, Roll No. slips, test centers, results etc.
- GEPCO reserves the right to withhold / cancel the whole recruitment process or of any post at any stage without assigning any reason.
- Concealment or mis-representation of facts at any stage will lead to disqualification of a candidate from the current recruitment and from all types of tests/exams to be conducted by the GEPCO for recruitment in future.
- GEPCO reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of posts as per requirement at any stage without assigning any reason.
- Mobile phones will not be allowed in test centre premises.
- Dismissed / screened out employees of any organization or having criminal record are not eligible for employment in GEPCO. The clearance of the character and antecedents of the candidates from the agencies/police shall be mandatory.
- Any litigation pertaining to recruitment tests conducted by the M/S NTS will be dealt by M/S NTS at its own level.
- Those applicants who have applied against any of the above referred posts in the past, should submit fresh application form as per above instructions.
HOW TO APPLY
- Applicants are advised to apply directly on the NTS website (www.nts.org.pk).
- By hand applications will not be received either at GEPCO or at NTS.
- Test fee for the posts of Junior Engineer (Electrical)/SDO & Assistant Manager (CS) / Revenue Officer (RO) is Rs. 540/- and for the posts of Commercial Assistant, Line Superintendent (Grade-I) & Line Superintendent (Grade-II) is Rs. 400/-. However, 50% of the Test fee is to be borne by the candidates and 50% by the GEPCO as per the instructions / guidelines of the Establishment Division. Accordingly, Candidates shall submit application forms duly filled in along with prescribed fee i.e. Rs. 270/- for the posts of Junior Engineer (Electrical)/SDO & Assistant Manager (CS) / Revenue Officer (RO) and Rs. 200 for the posts of Commercial Assistant, Line Superintendent (Grade-I) & Line Superintendent (Grade-II) in favour of NTS. The remaining 50% fee shall be paid by GEPCO directly to NTS as per agreement.
- No test fee will be charged from the disabled candidates being a matter to be treated as a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and 100% test fee shall be paid by GEPCO directly to NTS as per agreement.
- Test fee shall be paid to M/S NTS through 1Link 1Bill Participating Banks/ATM/Internet Banking/Mobile Banking/Easypaisa/Jazz Cash/TCS Express Counters.
- Roll No. Slip containing information regarding the test center, timings and test date will be uploaded on M/S NTS website at least one (01) week before the test date and candidates will be informed through email address & SMS as well on mobile number, provided by the candidate.
